About the Project
The Biosurveillance Knowledge Repository is one of four components of the "Improving Biosurveillance Practice through an Integrated Training and Peer Assistance System" project. The first year of this project culminated in a summary report on the core requirements for electronic biosurveillance systems. Now in its second year, the project will focus on:
1. Webinar series directed at preparedness and surveillance directors and staff involved in implementation of PHEP grant activities and other CDC-funded programs at the state and local level
2. Knowledge repository designed to provide online access to information related to webinar topics
3. Online training modules to provide more in depth knowledge to enhance situational awareness
4. Design of a peer assistance network for enhancing biosurveillance practice at the state and local levelsan initiative based on feedback from state and local biosurveillance leaders.
This website serves as a tool to promote evidence-based beneficial practices in biosurveillance, and to connect biosurveillance practitioners across the United States.
